About Liat
Liat Karsch is the owner and manager of Heights Social Communication, LLC, located in Stamford, Connecticut. With nearly 20 years of clinical experience specializing in early childhood, school-age, and young adult populations, Liat brings a wealth of knowledge to her practice. She holds a Master’s degree in Communication Sciences from the University of North Texas and is a licensed member of the American Speech and Hearing Association. She is a certified mentor in the Social Thinking Program highlighting her commitment to supporting neurodiverse children and young adults in their journey toward better communication and social skills.

Time spent building a connection is time well spent I believe that asking more questions and striving to relate to my clients on a deeper level leads to more effective intervention and meaningful progress. Lessons that are built around the person’s interests and parlayed into standard instruction are more likely to stick. When working with differently wired people I aim to preserve their authentic selves, to understand the world around them and for the world to understand them. The goal is to empower with knowledge, skills and tools to enhance effective communication and improve lives.

For high school seniors & college age students addressing appropriate planning and organizational skills, effective self- advocacy practices, interview skills, support managing social situations, trouble-shooting in real-time and improving speech clarity
